Esports Technologies files patent to leverage AI for tournament odds

Tech developer Esports Technologies has filed a provisional patent that will allow them to leverage their artificial intelligence technology to help them create odds for an esports betting algorithm.

This new model would be used for esports tournaments, both in the run-up to the event and at various stages throughout it. Bets that could be placed using this AI technology could include which teams will make the top three of the tournament, the teams placing outside the top-ranking teams, or which round of the tournament a team will reach.

Chief Operating Officer of Esports Technologies, Bart Barden, said: “I’m extremely proud of our quant and modeling team, which continues to develop potential industry-leading data solutions.
“Harnessing cutting-edge modeling and artificial intelligence to create the technology for this planned next-generation wagering tool demonstrates our commitment to innovation and our focus on the needs of esports enthusiasts and bettors everywhere. We continue to advance and innovate the esports wagering experience for customers.”

A busy year

This is not the first patent that Esports Technologies has filed this year. They also filed a patent for their proprietary live streaming technology. Their aim for this is to integrate sports and esports betting and streams into mainstream platforms like Facebook GamingHuluTwitch, and YouTube.
Having signed up to a charter from the Esports Integrity Commission to strengthen their commitment to anti-corruption activities, Esports Technologies are fast proving themselves to be a trustworthy brand with a lot to offer the sports betting world. Affiliates with an interest in esports should keep an eye on their activities.
