Google Ads is Gearing Up for Changes in January 2024

Advertising platform AdInMo and manager Usercentrics have released a report for mobile game publishers and developers on the current state of in-game advertising in Europe.
It highlights the importance of Google's privacy changes and the monetisation of in-game advertising.
Google Ads policy will finally be reformed on 16 January 2024 to comply with new European privacy laws. Developers must realign themselves to co-operate with leading advertisers.
What's interesting for developers and advertisers is that most players are still willing to share their data, even if they have the option to withdraw their consent.

Thus, 83% of "Wanderer - Project Survival" players consented to the collection of their IP-addresses, which simplified the monetisation process.
"Black Smoke's results clearly show that using CMP benefits developers as it makes players and ad traffic much more valuable to our brand advertising partners," said AdInMo co-founder and CEO Kristan Rivers.
