Betsson to launch online poker under new Greek license

The Swedish online gambling organisation Betsson AB have recently announced that they are working on launching their new online site in Greece. Under their new Greek online gambling license Betsson plan to offer online poker to their players. This will be offered alongside their other casino games, slots, and sports betting games.

New opportunities

A number of days ago, the European online gambling giant were granted a pair licenses for online gaming and betting in Greece. Betsson were granted both of these licenses by the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC). Both of these licenses will last for an initial period of seven years.
President and CEO of Betsson, Pontus Lindwall, recently stated “We are really pleased to receive these licenses and to welcome Greece as Betsson’s 18th locally regulated market. As in other markets, our vision for Greece is to offer the best customer experience possible and we have partnered with some great gaming suppliers and payment providers to augment our offering. The Greek gaming market has experienced significant growth over the past years, and we see a lot of potential.”

Future plans

Betsson will launch their new product offering specifically developed with their Greek players in mind. For example, Betsson 500k where players have to pick the correct outcome on twenty different events with the chance of winning some great prizes. The site will also offer players with a Greek language dedicated customer support service.
